Our Mission
We are a community-driven organization committed to fostering inclusivity and accessibility in the field of eating disorder awareness and care. Through a social justice lens, we challenge the status quo and prioritize intersectional approaches to education for both clinicians and the broader community.

Our mission is to create spaces where diverse voices are uplifted and where all individuals—regardless of background—can access the resources and support they need on their path to recovery.

We envision offering high-quality, affordable training to clinicians—especially those who have historically lacked access to eating disorder education—to help them build the skills and confidence needed to provide effective, compassionate care. A core component of our work is educating providers about weight stigma and fatphobia and equipping them to create safer, more affirming spaces for people in all bodies.

We are particularly focused on reaching and supporting marginalized communities, including those identifying as BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and/or neurodivergent. We also believe in the power of connection. LAEDC strives to cultivate a vibrant, collaborative network of eating disorder professionals—therapists, dietitians, advocates, and more—who are committed to learning from one another, growing together, and expanding access to inclusive care.
